I'd be tempted to check it round to the Button and let him hang himself because of this very situation. If we get raised we feel like we're in major trouble but we can't fold either whereas by check we will induce more bluffs which, in a small pot, is a bigger mistake than folding to a bet.

As played you've no option, you're very close to the top of your range here so it's just a calldown I'm afraid, be glad you got a chop out of it.

both check/calling and leading out could be ok here, depending on your overall strategy on these flops

if you bet flop, you pretty much have to call down

Answering your question: no, equity already splits what has to be splitted (like AK vs AK preflop is 50%, not 99%). So you can act according to your equity. (As the term suggests, it's your share of the pot, not your winnin chances.)

On the hand: I don't really like betting, unless we say that we're gonna bluff a lot here, so we have to balance that by vbetting - I guess it's not necessary at 5/Tc. I don't see too much worse calling (and calling down) us here, but we can induce bluffs in a small pot on a dry board where we have really static equities. We can hardly ask for a better spot to induce.

I don't know the usual limping range in UTG+2, but couldn't you raise pre?
