Hi, I have not played poker in a long time. Just played a few hours and this was the only interesting hand:

$0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $13.23 (132.3 bb)
BB: $11.33 (113.3 bb)
Hero (UTG): $10.41 (104.1 bb)
MP: $10.75 (107.5 bb)
CO: $47.31 (473.1 bb)
BTN: $8.56 (85.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with T♣: T♦:
Hero raises to $0.30, 3 folds, SB calls $0.25, BB folds

Flop: ($0.70) 7♦: 5♠: 5♣: (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.40, SB raises to $0.80, Hero calls $0.40

Turn: ($2.30) 7♠: (2 players)
SB bets $1.30, Hero calls $1.30

River: ($4.90) 4♥: (2 players)
SB bets $3.51, Hero calls $3.51

Is calling ok? How would you play? No info on villain.

Flat call from the SB vs UTG... I think nobody does that with any hand lol. His calling range should be some PP or some strong offsuit ace.
Just fold OTR. NL10 is worse than NL2 in terms of river bluffs. They don't do it.
I know it sounds crazy, but he had 77 or 55?

He can have so much better stuff (A7, 68, 5x, JJ,...) I'm probably not even calling the turn (to like what river except a magic T ?)
And don't forget people do call SB vs UTG even with QQ or AKo zeto

I said strong offsuit aces... QQ flat is weird.

I was talking about that. But it was just to say anything is possible from a SB calling range at micros. Anything not meaning mostly strong of course.

Check / min raise flop, half turn, close to pot river is how bad players play their monsters. The line is so strong I would strongly advise to fold the turn. With information things can change but readless it is an easy fold.

Hi,

I called because he is not repping anything.

1.On this texture, I don't see him raising 5x or 7x, overpairs etc.
2.His range should not even have that many hands here
3. OTR I don't see him betting 68 on this runout if he even has that hand in preflop flat range
4. So what does he have on the river then? Nothing really or maybe 77 or 55 rarely. But once again I don't see him raising those hands otf on this board.

But I don't know, maybe fold is correct play like you are saying but to me it looks like an easy call..

I would fold OTR, might be doing that already OTT.

I think villain shouldn't flat with that many 7x,5x combos or 86, but of course anything is possible at the micros. As Fanko said, min check raising and then barreling turn and river increasing the sizings makes this look quite strong. It doesn't matter what he should call with pre, what matter is what he could call with :)

A good player might not raise 5x or 7x on this board. But then again a good player might raise 0% on this flop, so we have to take into account that villain could be a recreational and unpredictable. It is true that his range should not have that many hands, but it doesn't mean that his range could not have that many hands as this is NL10 and villain is unknown. I totally agree that he shouldn't call 68 pre, but if he does and he is capable of thinking about UTG opening range, is he really that afraid of 7x or 5x? Flushes are no possible and he just got you to call with TT, so I think betting his straight would be extremely profitable :)

imho calling 3 streets vs unknown (!) at NL10 is -EV. I do not have hard stats on that, but it surely feels this way.
So I would call this an exploitative fold here

We could have 55,77, A5s maybe A7s + JJ,QQ,KK,AA here.
I'm not sure if we should be calling that river even theoretically.

Yeah TT is still quite far from our top range so there is no problem folding it.
Anyway quite senseless to talk about "calling that river theoretically" in a spot where "theoretically" the guy shouldn't raise anything on the flop =)

He's face up OTF with that raise. I'm still calling OTT sometimes, but you can fold it confidently and move on.
The more you think about ranges and GTO calls and stuff the more you bury yourself at this stakes.
No need for a balanced strategy or whatever. I find myself doing that and it's just a waste of time. ABC is super strong vs this guys.
Save your brain for higher flights.

Well, the thing is, contrary to what some of you seem to strangely think, you can think about "ranges and GTO calls and stuff" all day long without finding yourself nowhere near close to calling TT on the river and probably even on the turn.

Yeah I agree with you guys, It should be a fold.

In the hand I ended up getting lucky:
Results:

Spoiler

$11.92 pot ($0.54 rake)
Final Board: 7♦: 5♠: 5♣: 7♠: 4♥:
SB showed K♣: Q♠: and lost (-$5.91 net)
Hero showed T♣: T♦: and won $11.38 ($5.47 net)

Thanks all for your input I appreciate it!

Two things to consider:

1) CBetting smaller.

2) Either Fold Turn or Call River, Ax's are part of his range.

1combo of 77 & 55
8 combo of: A7, A5, 97, 78, 56, 54, 53 (quite sure not ev os though)
4 combo of 57, 68s

Total = 65 combos

16 combo of: AK, AQ, AJ,
8combo of: AT
= 56 combo

Chuck in unpaired Ax suited...then even 88, 99, 66

Obvs need info on villain, but imo this is actually quite bluffy/weak. Does any reasonable player check-minraise this board? Bad players love to bluff a paired board.

We dont call turn to fold river.

I said "theoretically" because bigdog63 before me said that we could consider this an exploitative fold. Just pointed out that even if we forget the population tendencies and focus on the theory part, this would probably be a fold anyway.

@PocketAcesJohn
I can agree with smaller cbet OTF but I don't quite understand what you tried to do by counting some combos there.

1combo of 77 & 55
8 combo of: A7, A5, 97, 78, 56, 54, 53 (quite sure not ev os though)
4 combo of 57, 68s

Total = 65 combos

There are 1 combo of BOTH 77 and 55. So are there 8 combos of each of the hands listed below too? No. Where did that total 65 combos come from? If I counted them correctly without card removal that would be 48 combos and with card removal it would be 20.

So I don't see what is going on :)
Also, we can call the turn and fold the river. If you think the turn should be folded already and we don't improve OTR, we are just donating money to villain by calling again. Doing something on previous streets doesn't mean we must do something on later streets.

I was thinking of Freeze Raise Turn to $2.75 for free showdown? If he 3bets Turn, you fold. If he calls and leads River, I most fold. If he checks, you can consider thin vbet vs Ax or go to showdown.

I don't like calling Turn because you just make it exponentially hard for yourself (mentally, EV, emotionally etc.) as random things can occur on uNL

That is why i said "1combo of 77 AND 55" aka one of each...

Likewise 8 combos of A7, A5 etc means 8 combos of each listed hand. If there are 4xA's in the deck and 2x 7's in the deck that makes 8combos...pretty obvious, no? Im not even going to explain the rest....
But if you think there are only 48 collective combos before card removal you are so so so wrong...considering there are 16combos of any unpaired hand...(note this is why we have 8combos of each hand...half have been removed).

I will give you the "not 65combos" though, because it's actually 64 combos :)

My general point is over half the range is air and weaker hands...

God 1post and i remember why i stopped...everyone thinks they are a profesor...

Lmao please don't forget why you stopped ever again if you think answering you is insulting you and that an humble coach "thinks he is a professor"
On the other hand your short comeback at least made my day. So you might as well come back again from time to time and let us have a good lauch. :P
