$5/9m/QQ Super ugly bubble spot

Interesting spot indeed. Looks like villian is a passive player, but sample is small.
That makes it hard to judge if villain is familiar with ICM. In this particler spot if you shove like now he/she can only call with a set and JT with in mind the loser of the hand is most likely the bubble boy. You will be out and he/she is left with less than 0,5bb

If you would call the flop and villain would shove the turn you need to fold for sure.

Have not played sng in long time but I think preflop might be actually sort of close spot on whatever we can call if BB shove. Might be worth to check if someone has tool for that. Point is ICM tax will be huge. That said not sure if open shoving this deep is ideal either.

I would even consider folding flop. Very coordinated flop and villain is leading as overbet in very high ICM spot. Looks very strong. Issue is also our hand block lot of potential semibluff combos.

Off course if villain would shove pre-flop this would be ugly as well.

Decent change villain would have a capped range and would 3bet KK+ the normal way.

Without calculate this situation I wouldn't be surprised you need around 70% equity pre-flop against villains range to make a profitable call against a shove. Than is QQ close for sure.

That's why this particler post-flop spot is really nasty as well. You and the villain in this hand doesn't want to risk bubbeling the STT with the huge ICM tax involved with the extreme short stack still on the table. With a clash like this the short stack is almost always the winner in this hand. In this situation villain makes even a over bet and it would be expensive in terms of $ev to do this as (semi) bluff with in mind he/she can't call a shove. If villains knows what he/she is doing you are up against 2 pair+ and than is QQ+ from you're perspective a bluff. Read less folding flop is most likely best. Most turns aren't helping you accept a Queen. If you shove you hoping villain is capable to fold 2 pair or is (semi) bluffing.
