Played a bit more HU last few days and some mtts. MTTs been going pretty okay actualy - been going a lot deeper than I was before at least - probably due to me only playing like 3/4 alongside waiting for HU action.
As for HU - I got a little sloppy with game selection last couple days and coupled with some runbad on ongame - I've ended up about breakeven - well maybe up a couple buyins. I enjoy playing HU though so gonna play it for a while and handpick a few mtt's on the side and just overall concentrate a lot more.

for what reason do you click it back vs his flop 3bet in hand 1? u did it before vs him already? looks superstrong to me if not. keep in mind it is a 4bet already. ur just tightening up his range he is going broke with.
its just a really dry board with not much to outdraw u and if u call his 3bet u can still have 9s,10s,Qs, Aces and 109 where he can try to bluff u off repping the 8 by himself.
if u just call u have less then double the pot left and can easily just call him on turn and river to get all in if he continues barreling, and if not, just barrel turn and river / river only by urself.
would be nice to see what u thought there ingame / what u think now

The police has got to stop being so lenient on those scumbags imo. I'm not saying shoot them on site (although that would be nice), just spray them with teargas through a hosepipe so they roll around crying!

€: i may be completely wrong, being a hu cg fishI am really cba explaining it all but put it short - we had a lot of history on these boards and also I had read that he donked with sd value (like weak pairs etc etc) - and yea calling is probably better but I expected him to just spazz out with his sd and go broke vs me (which he pretty much did)
Got a little too drunk last night for a weekday
Ended up playing tv roulette with two of my friends - where like you bet on the internet but they show the spin on the tv, and we called our account "iamatool". When the guy read out we had won he realised like 10s later what he had just said, and his reaction after was quite funny.
He was like "har, har, har I hope you are laughing iamatool".
We watched it for like 10minutes before though - saying which numbers we would pick and we would have won like 10 spins in a row. As it happened we only won like 3/4 before we stopped
HU is going well. Was breakeven for like 5k hands - was spewing a bit. Just had nice 200 hand session (if you can even call that a session) where i won $280 at 50nl tho ♠_love: Going to start shooting 100 when i come back from this :

Then off to V festival tmorrow - so gnna be like a 4/5 day binge - nt looking foward to the hangover after.
Pokerwise - been about breakeven this week. Won at nl50 but shotted 100 a bit and lost. Plan to study a bit more when I get back and hopefully breakthrough.

@bigal : ty, yeah I am same - i love mtts but playing scheduleds is like the worst lifestyle ever - completely conflicts with having any kind of social life and sleeping during the day is pretty draining at times.
lol this summer has been 3 months of permarunbad in mtts. sigh

i want to make some inspirational post here to encourage you and tell you variance is a bitch. but lately im feeling the same way. and i also feel a little lost. but what helps me right now is talking with my friends here in the forum, and taking a little break, and thinking about my goals and dreams for poker, assessing my own drive and willingness to work.

Thanks, yesterday post was just kind of a tilt post mainly because i've just lost every month this summer (or brokeeven) and then yesterday I was playing 180s and had like 6 really good stacks in 3r's and 8s and I was like "might actually have a good day tday" then I ended up bubbling or mincashing and I just kinda got uber tilt
Went out drinking last night and I feel like complete shit tday - spent waaaaayyyyyyyy too much money and draank waaaaaayyyyy too much. Something like 4 pints of lager, 12 jagerbombs, and about 5 bottles of smirnoff ice - really feeling it tday, litreally 10 minutes ago threw up my breakfast so probably not going to eat much all day ♠_biggrin: I wasn't feeling great before I went out and my parents were like "oh joe don't go out" and I said "I will go for a quiet one", so if they see me in this state they will just be like told you so, so probably going to try to avoid them as much as i can
Been playing nl25sh and I go on some ridic heater winning 6bi in 2k hands so maybe it is a sign I need to stop playing mtts?Oh and I also started sportsbetting a little. Going to try to follow some form of BRM - never placing more than 5% of my bankroll on one bet and kinda trying to gague variance of each bet and weighting the $ value of my bet accordingly. Ofc though I am pretty much just betting by feel so will inevitably end in me going broke but I might have some fun lol. Increased my deposit by 25% so far so going pretty well up to now.
This was a bit of a tl;dr and jumbled up post lol - but like I said I am hungover, maybe even still a little bit drunk
