I didn't take a screenshot, and I've been really busy of late.
I looked through the video to see if there were any chipgraph shots I could use, but no.

I did, however save a clip of the hand that turned it all around...

Great day on stream today --
Not because I won a lot -- I was in profit, yes, but I felt good -- and after all, this is the Mind Games blog.

I got quite a few good hands, but except for 2 of them, I didn't get paid off.

But the big thing is that yesterday, I got a ticket to a $5.00 tournament on 888, so I decided to play one on stream.
I was hoping for an MTT, but all they had within the time range were rebuys, and the idea is to grow a bankroll, not spew.

$5.00 is outside my BRM, but the ticket gives me a free entry.
I played a $5.00 blast (888's version of Spingo) and snagged a 5x multiplier.
2 places paid, and we were heads up going into the All-in-whether-you-want-to-or-not phase, and I took it down.

This officially puts my 888 bankroll challenge over $100

All the best,
VS

Omahahaha Tournament Cash

Well, about time!

I won a month's worth of the JNandez PLO Mastermind course earlier this month, and so far about all I've learned is what hands NOT to play.

Earlier this year, I learned from Kyyberi's PLO beginner's course what hand classes were OK to play, and between the two of them I made a FT and cashed 4th

FeelsGoodMan

Cheers,

VS

Could get back my lost BI´s from Saturday with PLO-CG yesterday, despite migraine :f_thumbsup:

First Ever Courchevel Cash!

Yesterday's Hand of the Day launched me into first place, and I stayed in the top 20 pretty much all game, finishing 12th of 255.

FeelsGoodMan

Not my first ever Courchevel tournament (4 or 5th I think) but still...

Very nice job! :f_thumbsup:

The name is thus appropriate.
The game is a slippery slope indeed.

I played terribly today.
I can't even complain about the cards I got -- just how badly I played them.

I have my WCOOP Schedule all set though:
https://t.co/Ev1wJttGvA?amp=1

If you follow that link, you'll find the whole schedule in spreadsheet form and it is easy to customize it to your own schedule.
Just put a 1 in the "Play" column by all the tournaments you want to play (and remove my 1s of course unless you're in the same game)

Hopefully I can play better than I did today.

It's Five Card Omaha with the first card of the flop revealed from the very beginning (i.e. during the pre-flop betting round).

It's also a ski resort in the French Alps, and the name of the commune in that area. Which also has a pretty dangerous altiport (an airport for small planes and helicopters) serving it, with a very short runway, difficult terrain and no lighting aids.

Yeah courchevel is sort of nasty game. Like you get some hand like 789TTds and then open card is A and your hand is actually trash.

Sounds funny and interesting...

Yeah, Vorpal plays the really "exotic" variants and sometimes on the stream I have to pay great attention to get what exactly he´s actually playing :f_biggrin::f_biggrin::f_biggrin:

Yeah and I mean, poker is actually hard enough when you know what you are playing, come on !

And on the other hand, your preflop sets can just as well be turned into a mere bluffcatcher on later streets, possibly already on the flop.

Add to it that the game is usually played in a Hi-Lo format and you got one wild game. I played PL25 cash for a while, it was quite the ride.

You should see the exotic stuff on my stream some time, I have yet to encounter one single person in the chat who knows what's going on.

The short answer is: Almost never. The slightly longer answer is: Whenever I happen to spontaneously get around to doing it.

But sure, I'll let you know next time. There's nothing planned for this week, though.

This week I guess I wouldn´t be able to make it anyway.

Courchevel is dark magic

It is like Omahahaha except that you get 5 hole cards, and the first card of the flop is shown at the time the cards are dealt (the "window" card).
So far, I have only played the Pot-limit hi/lo version, but there is also a hi-only version, and there are No-limit versions of each.
If there is a fixed-limit version, I haven't seen in on PokerStars

So far, the only strategy adjustments I've made is to bet huge if I have a pocket pair matching the window card -- pretty transparent, but so far seems to work.
Otherwise I play it much like PLO8

Desperation Equity

Ever notice how often the short stack gets at least one double-up before busting?
This was mine today in the GGPoker Mission Freeroll...

Spoiler

Well, yeah I wasn't the shortest stack, but was getting into risky territory.
We're about 40 off the money here I think

Two more double-ups later, and I'm all set for a deep run, then lose AQ < AK

So it goes.

Still cashed 2nd ladder up...
