never, ever play blackjack and stick to bankroll management because it is the poker bible.

also if you get 2 bad beats in a row, take a break. its just not your day!

Ive lost count to how much bankrolls ive lost due to playing higher stakes. Just get too excited!

PartyPoker recently gave me $10 (how nice of them) and I managed to get it up to $100. went back down to $10 because I didnt follow BRM (again)! I get bored too easily and the trill of playing higher stakes excites me lol

with $65 you should only be playing 1$ MTTs or SNGs or the smallest buy in CGs. you split your entire bankroll onto two tables? of course you wnt broke. you need to read the BRM articles or you will just keep going broke.

the best player in the world would go broke without bank roll management.

oh yeah - playing blackjack with your poker roll is just stupid

@evertonroar: I played the smallest cash possible and got few bad beats and went on a tilt and bust it...need to work on my self-control
I split it when I had only 89cents and built it up to 10$ and again to 60$, but that's gone too...

Read about bankroll management, is one of the most important think for a poker player.

As a beginner is easy to go on tilt. Some basic rules to follow:

- If you loose a no. of buy-ins (let's say 3 at the beginning) stop playing. take a break, forget about poker. Whatever it works for you.

- Don't play at higher stakes when you lose. You don't have enough money for those stakes, Even if you are Phil Ivey you will lose you roll.

- Learn about poker when you lose, see your leaks, improve you game. Aa.. and yes, study the game when you win also

One time I played my last $$$ in 100+$ super turbo sng on FTP and won it.
It was mega fun,big adrenalin and won like 450 dolazzzz in 20 min.
Poker is gamble if you are a math guy who does not like adrenalin is up to you.
I will always like to risk cuz it is fun.

What kind of retarded advice is that? OP is obviously upset over losing even such a small amount as $65 because he didn't follow BRM, and you advise him not to follow BRM? There is such a thing as gambling for adrenaline, and there is another thing called playing to win. Just because you made a stupid move with your money and got lucky doesn't mean other people will, or even that you will again.

65 BI brm for tournaments is actualy pretty damn terrible.. people get 200-300 bi downswings in the MT (180/360) sng's.. in tournaments it's even worse.. i'd say your pretty safe with 200-300 BI though.. but i wouldn't advise anything lower then 100 for tournaments..

Not sure how it all went down exactly, but from what I hear he got himself into apeshit tilt mode after suffering a bad beat and lost all his remaining money playing BJ. This is a very serious yet common mindset issue, people feel they're "due" to win something since they played well, and go for desperate measures to get those "deserved" winnings. Sometimes by playing looser, or by moving to higher limits, or even simply by playing roulette. And we all know how that ends.

For example, I just lost with AA against QQ - the guy floped quad queens
KK vs TT, yesterday AK vs A5 and unfortunately many more...

Yes, it is correct when you both have 18, for example. But what happens when you and dealer both have 23?

Think about it, and you will never want to play BlackJack again!

more importantly, what happens when you have over 21 and the dealer has - well absolutely anything. he could keep going and deal himself every card in the pack hit 300 or whatever and still win. or he could not deal himself any more cards and win. thats why you cant win at blackjack
