Show her where you learn to play, the articles, videos, coaching. She sounds immature. If after showing her that you study the game, she still has the same attitude, theres nothing you can do.
And like someone said before, she prob will have trouble accepting other parts of your life too.
I'm not a Christian anymore, but why do you care if its a sin or not? I mean you could find a sin in every single piece of thing and you are doing, you're even told that you was born with sin in you (I think its called original sin in English). So why should you care? Religion is making you a sinful person so that you have to obey the church. Try being a good person is worth much more than being a religious one in my opinion.
You can argue about that, but thats my sight on the world.
wtf just telll her that u did not lose any money playing poker , and its something u do to help u relax and have some fun , if she is such imature with u regarding poker , the i m sure she will find other things she won't like about ur lifestyle later on if u give up poker, just tell her u love her etc.........

'Not an honest way' needs some explaining imo.
The way I see the problem is not if he loose or win money but she thinks that it's a sin to try to earn money with games about money weather it's poker or bridge or horses or whatever but maybee not estate speculation or stockholding as its not regarded as gambling in general even if it in reallity are.
I have no real advice to give more than that I personally just would have fold her can be hard to do though. But a person that doesn't accept your interrest isn't worth it sorry to say that but it's my opinion.

lol, are you sure it isn't better to just flat call her and play her for set value, check/fold all the way? We do already have a made hand.
