Villain is one of the top 4 or 5 players on $200s+ as far as I can tell (universally well regarded by other regs). His style is, however, unorthodox at times.

Given this runout, it's obvious the money gets in. But I'd like to understand what rational there is for playing in this manner. I assume he has decided that, as ch/L, I'm raising loosely enough that he has enough equity to get in 9bb with his hand vs my range (probably not unreasonable). I also assume he's not getting away on any board textures. So this looks like a glorified stopngo?

My flop check is b/c I think he might sometimes ch/f QJs type hands if I cb here (though this is inconsistent with the above). I often ch/b when called oop by strong regs so I think this is ok here with the nuts.

i wonder what his plan was when u cbet and what his plan is for different cbet sizes.

he's justified getting it in pre vs your range. so i guess its a glorified stop n go.

i cant fault his play.
