Q: Should I raise the donk bet with top pair no kicker?
A: No the board is on the dryer side and I have a weaker value hand. I should just be calling the flop and calling down depending on the turn and river cards and bet sizing. As played I should check the turn and call the river depending on the bet size.

I agree with calling the flop. And I think it is totally ok to bet the turn when he checks. 1) he might be folding too much 2) he also might be calling too much (you might get value from some Jx hands that are not willing to give up just yet) 3) your just improved to nut flush draw

What would be the purpose of a raise on the flop? Value? No way! Bluff? Usually doesn't work either because better Ax (the only candidates for a fold we want to see) usually don't play that way. "Protection"? If he has a draw he has already paid.

When showing 2 hearts on the flop you might want to raise here as a semi-bluff indeed and keep barreling when hitting the turn. Reason is, mw people tend to defend tighter so you get more value in the end when you hit. However, here we should indeed call flop.

Why not raise as semi-bluff with hands like QTs / T8s / ATs / AQs-AKs? I don't see a reason to raise with that toppair no kicker against that fish in a mwp.

With this particular hand we should not raise. We want to take it to showdown as cheap as possible.

pf: A6s is no hand to isolate a limper. And you don’t get the proper odds to limp. So it’s a fold pf. But IF you raise, your raise is too small. 5 bb.

OTF, you have no raise. Of all hands that can continue you have one of the weakest. You might call here and continue carefully on the next streets.

What does you dont get proper odds to limp mean?

Seems like we're bluffing here, so why not 3barrel and hope he folds if we decide to bluff flop/barrell turn. I dont know why we chose this hand though, and you shouldnt usually try to bluff limping guys who seem to like their hand postflop.

If AXs isn't in your iso range on BTN then you have a huge leak.
I want to know why you think we shouldn't iso the fish with that hand..

I agree with this. Imo we should be iso-raising quite wide range. My iso-raise range is almost 40% here.

Someone once told me that no one fold pair of Ace on a dry flop. So your raise here don't have any fold equity and I dont think it is a value raise. Also, at this level of blind, people tend to bet whenever they think they have the best hand, position mean nothing. I have seen more donk bet in NL2 than NL10 for sure.

What is your hint to call the CO a fish? I only see the limp. This might not be a sign for a pretty good player, but is it really a fish, just because of this move?
The stats don't tell us anything about the way he plays. I mean we only know 3 hands.

Vs. unknown I would think about folding preflop. There are many players limping suited Aces on NL2. And most of these players will play limp/call with this kind of hands. We don't have a pretty solid hand. There are too many Ax hands that beat us. What is your intention for playing the Flop? If you hit the A, it gets harder to muck your hand. If you don't hit the A, and the flop shows us any broadway, we have to think about our opponent. Any broadway might have hit his range.
As played, I would fold the flop. Just because of what I said before. He won't donk with air. I've hardly ever seen players donk like this, having KT or something like this. Without looking into the spoiler, I would narrow his range on better Aces or PocketPairs 88-JJ on the flop. QQ+ would have been raised preflop. 88-JJ are quite often limp-called. That is my experience on NL2. AT+ would have been raised pre flop as well. At least most of the time. But there are still A7-A9 that beats us.

After all, I think it might not been the optimized way to fold preflop and maybe it is a huge leak, but as long as I am not pretty sure about how to continue post flop with this kind of hands, I save a lot of bb by folding this hand vs. unknown and build up my roll by playing stronger hands.

If we know the CO ist quite a fish, I would like the iso raise. But again, I only see KJ or sometime QJ donk the flop this way. All other hands that donk 0,5 pot size are beating us.

Limp from the CO deviates from a good logical poker gaming so that's a fish. Idk how fishy he is but any AXs is an easy iso even though sometimes we will face better aces.
If you ever consider folding in that spot you really should review your post flop game. Maybe you are being too nit. There's no point at folding a toppair with BD FD vs a less than half pot donk even being on MWP. If his range has any draw our call is good enough and It's pretty common to see draws leading in that spot (T8, QT and even QK, KT and Q8 with bdfd).

About this statement: "After all, I think it might not been the optimized way to fold preflop and maybe it is a huge leak, but as long as I am not pretty sure about how to continue post flop with this kind of hands, I save a lot of bb by folding this hand vs. unknown and build up my roll by playing stronger hands."

You are right about not playing if you don't know what to do in the post flop but you must see that if you improve you will win money easily in the long run. If you spot a +EV play than yours you must go after it study hard and then get the money even if you donate a little in the beggining of the process, like i said, in the long run you will win more money. Forget the "save a lot of bb" thoughts and think of how you win more. =)
