Really glad to see you back!
Hey pavels,
My comments on your vid:
1st hand KT: I actually don´t like your river bet size, I think you should try to mainly get value from Tx bc nothing else will call you anyways and he might think about looking you up with it bc of the missed draws there. I also think that jaming river looks weaker than smaller sizing which seems rly like value value value.
2:30 - I openshove this. You actually don´t rly want him to show up with that once he jams, bc it´s almost like a flip and he´d fold to an openshove.
4:40 - you´re talkin´ abt that you´d jam A5-A9 over limp. You mean 25bb deep ? I really don´t think it´s very good, I see fish trapping A LOT with their strong aces pre with limping so I don´t rly like jamming it in that deep over limp. I´d jam under 20bbs most likely.
5:24 - I check/call the river w/o even thinking abt it. He doesn´t have 8x, he is not jamming Tx, he probably doesn´t have Kx either and he might jam his missed draws. And ye, as you also mentioned in the vid, he is proly even not jamming his 8x FH on the riv. WP
8:20 - I def agree that c/r is best here readless. I think you played this hand pretty much perfectly (maybe the flop slightly bigger as you mentioned). Lol at the river.
10:00 - I think the lead here is actually fine and I´d do it myself as well. This is the kinda board fish might cbeh his 2nd/3rd pair type stuff on and also draws but will def continue with them against your lead.
11:00 - WP
11:30 - think about it this way: he never has air once he doesn´t cbet on that flop. It just doesn´t happen. They slowplay all their Ax here, they check their Kx and also QQ-TT etc. I like your cbeh give up.
12:05 - I actually prefer leading with bottom pair on this flop in a limped pot bc of playability and stuff, I don´t think it´s the best idea to c/c here I´d rather c/r actually to deny villains equity, I mean even if he has 46o here he still has like 20%. And vs decent players it´s not like you´re getting to a showdown ever I think (not sayin´ this guy is decent, but still).
Yep, like your fold vs the potsize stab of him.
12:40 - only time you want to minraise even deuces here is when villains like to 3b bluff a lot (non-all in) and then folds once you jam. That way your expectation is way higher than from openshoving.

well, I guess fishes don't limp trap strong Ax at the 60s as much as do do lower. I talked about this with several other regs and most of them have similar opinion. The thing is that you are never really readless. I usually ship that range 1st hand over limp or if the villian raised the first hand and limped next time he was on the button.
(for further discussion about this, log on to skype and leave me a message ♦ )
I think it would be interesting to see in Pokertracker how well that has been working for me. Gotta learn how to work with it ♦
Glad you liked it:)
Just watched 1st half so far and I like the poker content and your reasoning.
On a separate note (and not really wanting to draw attn to it), but given the stakes you are playing, I would be surprised if keeping that much on Stars is optimal.
If it's just a small part of your 'roll then ignore me and many congrats on being so balla, but if it's most of (or a decent chunk of) your BR, I'd spread it around if I were you (e-wallets, national banks etc). There is no cast iron guarantee that what happened to FT couldn't happen elsewhere.
Keep it up, sir.

well yeah it is most of my BR, I have withdrawed from PS only relatively little prior to this (cca 4k) and I withdrawed another 4k today before you posted it here which is kinda coincidentally funny
However, I feel like the money on Stars is pretty safe. FTP was a different story since they didn't keep the player's money separated...
Spoiler
(and I actually withdrawed all of my FTP money right after they had their "scheduled" maintanance when Ironman freerol was supposed to be running ... people had troubles with their cashouts etc ... Nothing like that is happening on Stars, my 4k was credited to my MB account in few hours)
I don't wanna withdraw the money straight to my bank right now (which is in CZK currency), so I make my withdrawals to moneybookers. I really don't know if moneybookers is that much safer though. (I have no idea about e-wallet safety)
glad you liked my vid:)
MB is supersafe. Don´t worry. I agree with Tim though about the pokersites. EVEN IF it seems like Stars are very safe.
Glad you withdrew some. No one knew FTP was risky until they fell over. Hundreds of very very clever top names have millions stuck on that site so its demise was by no means obvious.
Anyway, the main point is not to have all your eggs in one basket. Even if you don't think MB is 100% safe (though it is regulated by FSA, i.e mainland UK law) you are still bttr off splitting your roll.
MB seems like a good choice, ty guys ♠_love:
As for not looking at my EV. I finally figured it. I will give to charity 500czk=25usd for each time I look at my EV till June 13th. The lowest amount I will give to charity is 1000czk however, so 1 or 2view = 1000czk (50usd), 3views 1500czk (75usd) etc...
I will probably end up giving some money regardless of what happens but this will definitely motivate me. I was really influenced by EV tooo much. Looking 3x/hr. at my EV graph was no exception.
This month, it seems to be working for me so far. Obviously running pretty well too.
I still play just 60s, seems like the easy path but I definitely want to try shooting 100s although I'm not sure if I can have a higher hourly there. The reg/fish ratio is a lot higher and the regs are a bit tougher.

Started husng's myself recently, would you give me your reasons to play hypers instead of turbo's? For me hyper is higher variance, but lower edge right? Or I got the edge part wrong...?if you don't mind, I will try to answer it too. I played turbos in fall and switched to hypers just before new year. Reasons?
- much higher traffic
- higher hourly (yes higher variance and lower edge, but you put in much more volume)
- fast structure attracts fishes cuz they see it more as a flip. hypers up to 30s are super soft
- easier to multitable (the stack differences are not as significant)
Lets continue here ![]()
I tried few hypers but I could give them another shot. Mind telling me whats the biggest and most important difference between turbo and hypers? I know how the structure is but I mean preflop and postflop game. I assume fish will call you light up shits like T9, K7 etc, so Ax -> them? How we play during start (20bb). And when we have 15bb? And 12? Below 10? How effective is 3betting vs regs (intention of folding to 4b)?

I would highly recommend buying Chadders0 video pack. It costs 150usd but maybe you can find someone else to share it with. It covers all these areas and it will take a long time till I will write my ranges... Very good if you are getting into hypers. If you don't wanna get Chadders video pack, just get the standart membership at the same site and download all the hyper videos ![]()
Don't know what the biggest difference is. To me, hypers just seem easier. In turbos, you have more room to maneuver, however, you find yourself a lot of times in very tough spots, def more often than in hypers.
I have a SH BSS background; postflop is my strongest aspect of poker. In 99,7% of the postflop situations, I barely have issues @ turbo's.
How well does mers's husng book works @ hyper?

it is mainly for hypers
but it is a bit more advanced. Every HU sng player should read it though

Oh I applied that one for turbo's
Anyway when my exams are finished I'll deff try hypers, thanks for the help!
tbh, I don't really understand why you don't want to watch your EV-line?
It says more about your play than your profits do, so I would prefer checking your ev-line and not your winnings line (too bad this aint possible in HEM).

I obv know that EV line shows more about your play than profits. But I have been just relying on it too much, was tilted when it didn't move up shorterm etc... I was checking it way to often. I think looking at it once a week or just once in few days will be better for my mindset. First I wanna try going without looking at it till mid-June. Then I'm most likely leaving to go on a Eastern-European roadtrip which will be super exciting and can't wait

well, you can def apply that for turbos as well. You didn't do anything wrong, I just feel there is more stuff for shortstacked play

I remember Tim doing it by editing a config file. You can ask him for instructions if you're interested.
Btw how many tables do you play on hypers? How many tables should I aim for (in the future, not as beginner) I tried 3 awhile ago, it was alittle bit too much as I needed to think/follow some charts.

I was only 1-tabling turbos for he whole autumn ... and started 1-tabling hypers and now I am mainly 2-tabling. It depends on you. I feel like 2 is std., there are guys who sticked to playing just 1 and there are some who can do 4+
Really depends
