hab das mit ortiz auch gelesen aber
Machida sollte doch zuerst als Ersatz gegen Evans ran,wieso ist es jetzt doch ortiz?

In an exclusive interview to MMAJunkie.com, UFC President Dana White revealed why the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida turned down the offer to replace the injured Phil Davis for the fight against Rashad Evans at UFC 133. According to White, Machida's camp demanded "Anderson Silva's money" to fight Evans, something that the UFC President couldn't accept:

"Machida accepted the fight. We knew for a couple days this was going down, and Machida accepted the fight. Then when we called back and said, 'OK, we're going to make this fight,' Machida's people came back and said, 'We'll tell you what. You pay us what you pay Anderson Silva, and we'll take the fight.' This was after they had already agreed to take the fight.

I said, 'Are you [expletive] kidding me? I'll tell you what. You tell Machida he achieves what [expletive] Anderson Silva has achieved, then maybe he'll make Anderson Silva money. Have a nice day."

White also revealed that despite turning down the fight in first place, Ortiz called him back and asked if the UFC still need a replacement. White admitted that he likes "the new Tito Ortiz", expressing his delight with the positive approach of "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy":

"[Expletive] right, he gets a break. Tito stepped up to the plate. It's [expletive] weird here. It's like I'm dealing with a new person. I like it. I like the new Tito. The storyline is what's so interesting. Tito went from 'You're about to be cut,' to now, if he beats Rashad Evans, he's back in the mix. He's back in the picture."

danach ist overeem raus aus dem HWGP.

"That is not going to take place," Overeem insisted. "Stikeforce has requested me to accept the fight for Sept. 10, to agree on that, but I have not agreed on it and I also had some emails, some questions asked, is the fight confirmed? No, the fight is not confirmed. I do not confirm it and I will not confirm it."

"The fights that I've lost - I'm not the guy going for excuses, I blame myself. That is where this decision is coming from. I don't want to blame myself. What I do now is, I do my homework. I make sure everything is perfect, and then I fight. With that formula I've had some great results in the last four years, and I'm not prepared to throw that all away because people pressure me. I don't like to be pressured."

"The thing is, there's other promotions. There's other stuff I can do. K-1's going to come back. There's some good reports on that. There's some other promotions in the world that would love to have me fight. So for me, the respect thing is definitely a factor and it's definitely important."

ne,denke nicht dass er silva duckt.
ich kann reem nachvollziehen.
als erstes wird reem-werdum um einige wochen nach hinten verschoben und danach soll reem-silva um 1 monat vorverlegt werden.hinzu kommt noch,dass reem sich den zeh (an)gebrochen hat und nicht trainieren konnte.
zuffa macht halt druck weil sie den HWGP noch dieses jahr beenden wollen.

ich kann auch nur hoffen,dass overeem zur UFC wechselt,auch wenn ich ihn lieber erst den HWGP hätte beenden sehen wollen

Wer sollte denn eurer Meinung nach als nächstes einen Shot auf den Welterweight-Titel bekommen?

MMn müsste Jon Fitch an der Reihe sein,er hat wirklich sehr starke Leistungen gezeigt und eigentlich auch den Kampf gegen BJ Penn klar gewonnen.
Evtl. sollte der Gewinner aus Penn vs. Condit gegen Fitch um den Nr.One-Contender Platz fighten.

Ich glaube Jones ist schon gut pissed auf Rampage,i der PC hat Rampage ja jede situation genutz um ihm ne breitseite zu verpassen.
Wobei ich den satz von Jones herrlich fand als es um einen nicht fiten und vorher verletzten Rua ging.
Ausreden,alles ausreden bla bla u never fight the Pride Rampage ir Moviestar Rampage......
Und Rampage´s gesicht war da halt auch herrlich weil er absolut nicht wusste was er darauf antworten soll.

Credit geb ich aber Jones weil Rampage halt nur ein Brawler ist und nicht ansatzweise die skills von Jones hat aber man weiß ja nie wenn Rampages Hammer trifft können die Lichter halt ausgehen.

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is all in a huff after his staredown, if you can call it that, with former division title holder Quinton Jackson at the UFC 135 press conference back on July 19.

"Bones" is slated to defend his title for the very first time on Sept. 24 when he trades blows with "Rampage" at the Pepsi Center in Denver Colorado live on pay-per-view.

And if the staredown is any indication of what we can expect on fight night, things are starting to get interesting.

That's because Jackson didn't know what to make of his opponent's foot fetish when it came time for the flashbulbs, so he tells Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan that he did what he always does and played to the crowd.

Says Rampage:

"This guy, his staredowns, I ain't never seen no staredown like that before in my life. He's staring at your feet. That's not no staredown. So I turned my back, you know what I'm saying?"

Turning his back was a sign of "disrespect" to Jones, who left "Mile High City" feeling "pissed off" and "outraged" over Jackson's tomfoolery.

Is Jackson getting inside his head?

Jones was visibly nervous in the final days before his championship bout against Mauricio Rua at UFC 128 back in March; however, it didn't matter much come fight night as the lanky-but-lethal light heavyweight obliterated "Shogun" in a masterful performance that sent him home from New Jersey with 205-pounds of gold.

Rampage seems to have ruffled a few feathers, but it remains to be seen whether or not it has any kind of effect on his opponent on Sept. 24.

Haha ok well the title isnt the exact quote BUT its pretty much what i was thinking when reading this. Jon Jones makes me laugh because i used to think the guys is crazy mature for his age, but now i think he is crazy immature for his age. Jon Jones doesn't care enough to look at his opponents face during a FACE/STARE off, so what right does he have to bitch about someone turning around and smiling at the camera. If you cant give your opponents the courtesy of looking at them, instead of looking past them, then why the hell should they bother to look at you?? What Rampage did was perfect and shows Jones how disrespectful it can feel when you are trying to have a stare-down but the person opposite of you doesn't even care enough to look at you so you are stuck staring at their neck or cheek feeling like an idiot. How Jones believes that he has ground to be pissed of is pretty shocking to me. Border line nutty.

imho nur ne frage der zeit bis jones faellt. ja, er ist der wahnsinn im octagon und ein crazy talent, keine frage, wie es auch rampage schon gesagt hat. aber mit so ner einstellung, und borderline nutty triffts da schon ziemlich gut, dauerts nicht lange bis bad karma ihn einholt.

also ich find schon erstaunlich wie es plötzlich total viele jon jones hater gibt.
am anfang total gehyped und ungefähr seit dem rashad evans ins gespräch für einen kampf gekommen ist,wird er plötzlich von total vielen nieder gemacht.
ich sehe übrigens oft leute die bei einem staredown nicht in die augen des gegner schauen.nur plötzlich ist es bei jones ein thema?lol

aber mit so ner einstellung, und borderline nutty triffts da schon ziemlich gut, dauerts nicht lange bis bad karma ihn einholt.

wenn er verliert,dann hat es nichts mit bad karma zutun sondern nur mit pech/zufall usw.
jeder verliert/gewinnt ,egal wie gut/schlecht das "karma" ist.

ansonsten denke ich die aktion von rampage und die reaktion von jones sind einfach dazu da,um den fight etwas mehr zu promoten

Der Staredown wird Rampage's größter und einziger Sieg über Jon Jones.

Sein wir mal ehrlich, Rampage bekommt den Shot nach 3 schwachen kämpfen, von denen er meiner Meinung nach 2 verloren hat.

Wo du das ganze Event gucken kannst weiss ich nicht, aber die wichtigsten Kämpfe sind Sonntag Morgen sicher auf youtube zu finden.

Verzweifelt auf google gesucht, dabei immer vorsichtig um keine Ergebnisse zu lesen. Auch nix...

gibts keine möglichkeite das event live in guter quali zu sehen? bietet sky keinen channel dafür an?

ich werde wohl aufbleiben, um es mir live anschauen zu können.
werde wahrscheinlich eh zu aufgeregt sein, um vernünftig schlafen zu können.
immerhin könnte es der letzte kampf vom fedor, durch den ich überhaupt angefangen habe mma zu gucken, sein...
